What pisses us off more than anything else is that everyone’s like “What’s the latest gadget or tool in the marketing?” This one shares better, this one makes my life easier when it comes to social media traffic. We don’t care about all these tools. Are you doing anything right with these tools and are you taking action, are you improving your website?

Best Social Media Marketing Tools To Grow Your Business

1st Tool – Use Google Analytics – That’s a tool that everyone and we will even include it in our list.

But, if you don’t take action, based on what the tool is telling you, it’s useless. At that point, there’s not even a point in using the tools. Totally! You just download the latest tool and it is just cool and you think you are doing something productive, but its just a waste of time. So, let’s get into some tools. The first tool that you guys should use is Google Analytics. It tracks your visitor count if you have a lot of traffic.

They will sample the data unless you pay like a hundred or a hundred and fifty grand or whatever their price is per year. Google Analytics will show you how people are engaging throughout your website and what traffic sources are causing most conversions. Don’t optimize for traffic. Optimize for traffic that causes conversions. We were recently discussing with one of our team members, we bought out the great details in it and we will also share those details later in this article. What content we are going to keep and we have a post on South by Southwest that’s getting traffic and they were like “Should we update this?”.

And, we were like who cares about this? No one’s going to read that content and convert into a customer. That’s a useless piece of content. Delete it. It’s not about having a lot of traffic. It’s about having relevant traffic that causes conversions. And, Google Analytics will show you that as long as you set up the goal and conversion tracking. It’s that simple. If you’re using Google Analytics, and you don’t have a goal and conversion tracking set up, there’s no point in even using it. Just stop. You’re wasting time. So, at least set that up. Interesting.

The second tool we have for you is Ubersuggest. You are going to want to get ranking, you are going to want more search traffic, it’s the most consistent traffic that you will get. The social media traffic is easier and quicker to get. But, Google’s Algorithm Updates are not as crazy as Facebook’s. It won’t be where one day you are getting 300000 visitors from Facebook Organic Search and the next day you’re getting 10,000 visitors. Google’s organic traffic is very consistent.

2nd Tool: Ubersuggest. Type in the keywords, that you’re getting traffics already from that are driving conversions and it will show you more than you could be going after from a paid perspective and organic perspective, that will help boost your overall conversions and sales.

3rd Tool: Google Search Console – The third tool we have for you is Google Search Console. We love doing this internally, where we take Google Search Console, we log in, we look at all the posts, how many impressions they get, how many clicks they get and click-through rate. We look for the posts that get less than five per cent of the traffic.

We look at all the keywords that were getting impressions from that post and then we integrate those keywords into that blog post or that landing page and we rewrite that content. We don’t just add in the keywords. We rewrite it to encompass all the relevant keywords and make it two, three, four or five times more in-depth. And you should not just rewrite any post. You should use the Google Search Console Data to look at click-through rate. Right? In addition to that, we double-check and make sure those URLs are driving conversions based on Google Analytics Data.

So, when you combine them both, at least you are focusing on increasing the traffic from blog posts that drive sales. That’s a really important part that most people forget. And, we feel like looking at the way marketers do business, like a lot of us, just focus on new content. We know, we got stuck into that before we started working, it like, it’s shiny, you got this new idea. We want to write about this when you go back like your team members may have done it before. You don’t have to necessarily create new content, you can go back and rewrite the older one.

When you keep creating new content, after a while, let’s say you blog for a year and you have been writing a new piece or article every single day, what happens? You’re overlapping throughout your website. Exactly, and when you overlap, what happens is Google is confused. Hey, you got 50 posts on SEO or 50 posts on link building. We don’t know which ones should rank for link building. By consolidating, and having fewer content pieces, and only having one page per topic, you get way more traffic, and what’s one website where you Google for anything they rank?

It’s Wikipedia. So Wikipedia ranks for pretty much everything in the world. Have you ever been on Wikipedia and noticed that they have 20 pages on the same topic? Never. It’s only one page per topic. Right, of course. And, they just make the articles longer and longer. That’s why they do well. There’s no cannibalization. So, don’t just keep writing more and more content, Focus on updating more than continue writing new pieces of content. If you are going to write a new piece of content, it should be on ones that are on new topics.
